The Need

Home school in East AsiaMen are created equal by God, and God has given his people basic rights, freedoms, and responsibilities.

Freedom

Many people enjoy the privilege of freely worshiping God and educating the next generation according to the Bible. However, this command of God cannot be fulfilled legally in some areas of the world.

In some countries people cannot choose to educate their children biblically, but are required to send their children to government-run public schools. Christian education is considered illegal. Followers of Christ are facing great challenges and various degrees of persecution if they disobey the government by giving their children a Christian education.

Firm Conviction

Despite overwhelming obstacles, these Christian parents still believe the price to be worthy, for this is clearly stated in the Bible:

“Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise.”(Deuteronomy 6:4-7)

Fast-Growing Need

With the increase of house churches in East Asia, more and more Christian parents have realized the importance of giving their children a Christian education. These pioneers have bravely set out on this new path though they face persecution. Circumstances are usually very difficult for them.
